Alpha status
Renart is in public alpha. The main workflow is available today, but the product is still changing quickly. Evaluate it against non-critical data and keep your pipeline definitions in Git.
Available today
Section titled “Available today”- Load assets and HTTP API assets bring ingestion and supported source-to-destination transfers into the pipeline workflow.
- The pipeline canvas shows assets, dependencies, lineage, and freshness.
- The asset editor provides pipeline-aware SQL completion and type-checking, Inspect previews, and materialization.
- Notebooks combine SQL, Python, text, controls, visualizations, and typed snapshots from several kinds of data source.
- Dashboards and reports provide a visual, version-controlled presentation builder with checked datasets and fields.
- The notebook agent preview connects an installed local coding agent through notebook-scoped tools and reviewed edits.
- Reviewed runs, rendered operations, logs, and durable run history are available in the workspace.
- Per-environment schedules run deployed pipeline snapshots and record their results locally.
What public alpha means
Section titled “What public alpha means”The UI, CLI, and local operational state may change between alpha releases. Some connectors and less common asset configurations have received less real- world use than the core DuckDB workflow. Keep pipeline changes in Git, review the generated diffs, and try Renart against non-critical data before adopting it for important workloads.
Check Supported platforms for database coverage and materialization limits. These docs describe the current source tree; if you use an older release, UI labels and available options may differ.
Feedback
Section titled “Feedback”Please report reproducible problems and confusing workflows on GitHub. Include your Renart version, operating system, warehouse, and the smallest example that reproduces the issue when possible.
